Fly Fishing
Yes, people fish in Clear Creek! Put your waders on and try your luck. You’ll probably have better luck west of the kayak course.

Rock climbing on North Table Mountain
The columnar basalt in this area is very popular with easy to moderate routes. Climbers refer to it as Golden Cliffs. Parking and trail head is at the end of Perry Parkway.

Paragliding
At times when you are driving around Golden, you look up and the sky is full of paragliders! Mt. Zion is a very popular departure point. Golden has several outfits that cater to the first-timer, as well as advanced training for the more experienced adventurers. Hang-gliders participate, too!
-
Mountain Biking
Popular mountain biking spots include Chimney Gulch, North Table Mountain, and Apex Park (be sure to pay attention to permissible riding days and routes).
-
Hiking
We have lots of hiking trails too. Most of North and South Table Mountains are Open Space, and several trails lead west into the Mountains.
-
Horseback Riding
Pine Cliff Stables offers horseback rides that give you scenic views without having to travel far into the Rockies. Located north of Golden.
