Since mid-December I've been
inviting people to take a survey about
Golden.com. The results have been very
interesting, and I appreciate people taking
the time to respond. I've made some
changes as a result of some things I've
learned. There have also been a few
things I couldn't change, much as I'd like
to. (I can't bring back the Golden
Transcript!) For the most part people seem
happy to have the site available. They
like the photos and they like the events
calendar.
For those who don't know, I'm a
Golden-based website developer. I do
this site for fun, as a service to the
community. The site is not affiliated
with the city, the chamber, or any other
"official" organization.
Here are the survey results that I've

at a loss when I read this on December
21st, because the public and
commercial events were pretty much
over by then. Then I thought to
post the Christmas church service
times and the buffets at the two
hotels, so thanks for providing the
inspiration!

The Golden
Transcript has stopped publishing
the content for free online, but they
do offer a for-fee online
subscription. Since I can no
longer provide links to the
Transcript, I now offer links to Yourhub
articles, which are user-written
articles published by the Denver
Post.

I was looking for the police
blotter. Namely, to find out what
happened on Washington Ave. between
5th & 6th St. in Golden on the
evening of 12/17/09. The road was
blocked off and there were lots of
police cars.
I'd love to
provide a link to the police
blotter. It's not online at this
time, but perhaps the city will make
it available in the future (or maybe
not, as there might be privacy
issues). That particular
accident, though, happened to be
included in yourhub, so we provided a link
to that article.
