If you haven't visited the Blue Canyon Grill in its new location yet, this would be a good day to stop by.  They will be hosting a celebration from 4-6 and a ribbon cutting at 5:30.  Appetizers and beverages will be provided.  Come, and meet the owners and congratulate them on their new place!

  • Relocation Celebration/Ribbon Cutting - Blue Canyon Bar and Grill
    Come on out to the Avenue and check out the new Blue Canyon underground and the Grill upstairs. You will not believe what has been done to the Foss Building up and down; it's fantastic! There will be beverages, appetizers, lots of fun, loads of networking, and one heck of a lot of wows! 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.  Ribbon cutting ceremonies are scheduled for 5:30 p.m.  Blue Canyon Bar and Grill with the BC Underground, 1224 Washington Avenue Suite 135 in the Foss Building in Historic Downtown Golden.

  • What’s this Rock?
    This program is an elementary introduction on how to identify common minerals and rocks. Learn how minerals and rocks form, how they are classified, how geologists determine their ages, and what they can tell us about Earth’s history.   • Vanilla Trees and Tassel-Eared Squirrels
    Have you ever smelled a vanilla tree? Have you ever seen a tassel-eared squirrel? Join volunteer naturalist and forester Jeff Kitchens for a stroll through native Ponderosa Pine forests to learn about the Abert’s squirrel and other animals and plants that call this ecosystem home.   • I Want to be an Astronaut Workshop
    In this workshop, you child will see and feel what it is like to train for launching into space and exploring the planets, moon, comets & asteroids of our Solar system. They will learn about the programs and facilities that NASA uses to get astronauts ready for space travel.   • Painting Water with Watercolors with Janet Nunn
    Making water look convincing in a painting is easy with a few watercolor painting techniques. The water may have waves from movement or still with reflections.     In our newly renovated gallery, Foothills Art Center presents one of its most distinguished and celebrated exhibitions Colorado Clay. A stunning compilation of contemporary ceramics by fourteen Colorado artists, Colorado Clay will challenge a viewer's perception of traditional pottery with its exceptional collection of abstract, whimsical, and traditional works of ceramic art.  Forget ordinary. View the extraordinary at Foothills Art Center. Open Monday to Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for seniors.
