Version 5.04.21 (January 19, 2005)
Corrected underline and strikethrough lines being drawn in the incorrect spot when used with 3D plot labels.
Footer text is now displayed immediately when added via automation.
Axis tick labels of value less than 1 no longer display the 1x when the "No 1x" box is selected in the label format dialog.
Error bar options (multiplier, direction, etc.) are no longer grayed out when both vertical and horizontal error bars are used.
Fixed crash caused by trying to set a between fill when one of the plot selected for the fill was a fit plot.
Corrected problem where certain bar charts using an Excel file failed to create the bars when the GRF file was opened.
Corrected drawing of radius axis grid lines when only a portion of the polar angle axis was drawn in the counter-clockwise direction.
Corrected drawing of radius axis grid lines when radius axis size was changed.
Fixed clipping issue that could lead to high-low plots not displaying correctly.

Version 5.03.19 (August 19, 2004)
- New feature – Property Inspector can now be set to display the sections as tabs. To activate this feature either right-click in the PI and select Display Tabs from the pop menu or from File | Preferences.
- New feature – New right click menu in the property inspector. It includes the Display Info Area, Set Font, and Display Tabs commands.
- Fixed problem where global settings for grouped 3D XYZ bar charts are not set correctly when changed in the PI.
- Grapher displays one 3D bar chart fill through another on the attached graph. Drawing improved. At high zoom there may still be some bleed through.Grapher does not export 3D graphs to the CGM file format.
- Corrected crash that sometimes occurs when deleting rows from large spreadsheets.
- Some bars in the attached graph are not displayed properly when scrolling in Actual view size after changing the Y axis scale.
- Corrected problem where Grapher crashes when switching to a column with invalid date/time values (e.g. too large), and one of the plot's axes is using date/time labels. Invalid date/time values will be displayed on the axis as the raw value.
- Rose and wind charts get distorted when using a radius axis min less than zero. Rose and wind chart are now always centered regardless of the radius axis min. If the radius axis min is greater than the bar's value, the bar is not displayed.
- Added ability to auto-scroll when in digitize fixed mode.
- Improved handling of invalid custom line styles imported from a DXF file so that the line shows up as solid on the screen.
- When you close a GPJ file where the data has changed, you are now prompted to save the GPJ file. This saves the changed worksheet data within the GPJ file as well.
- Corrected problem where Invisible 3D axes still draw the axis title if a title has been set.
- Corrected problem where adding labels to the LinePlot.GRF sample file caused Grapher to close with an error message.
- Corrected problem when using a fill with a custom cutoff in a 3D line plot and the line plot is set to discontinuous, extra lines are drawn at the bottom of the fill.
- Corrected problem where Grapher cuts off part of the 3D plot when you have added another axis to the plot. The Selection bounding boxes do not coincide with the selected objects, either.
- Corrected problem where any axis label smaller than 1e-10 is displayed with the 1x in front regardless of whether the “No 1x” box is checked.
- Modified the way Grapher calculates the bar widths for a 3D bar chart. It will now be calculated such that the bars of a chart will not overlap on the X or Z axis as they could have before.
- Corrected problem with positioning the labels on the Z axis when using different label alignments.
- Set minor tick Divisions spinner to spin to 100, instead of only 10.
- “Fill Between Plots” now works correctly for plots with descending X axes.
- Equations on fit curves are now reported with more significant digits for high order polynomials.
- Corrected problem where Grapher was not changing the number of weights when you use the Option property of the AutoFitPlot object from a script.
- Grapher now displays a filled rectangle for 3D bar chart in the legend.
- Grapher was calculating the histogram minimum bin incorrectly when changing the bin size or column.

- Corrected problem when resizing a ternary legend, the ternary diagram is resized instead of the legend. Legend now correctly resizes.

Corrected problem where Grapher displays the hourglass until the cursor is moved when you copy an object and don't move the mouse.
Corrected problem where Grapher changes the display of a line plot back to a scatter plot when you add labels after using the Graph | Change Plot to command to show the line plot. The Property Inspector was not updating itself when the plot type was changed.
Corrected problem where the command View | Fit to Window is not available after opening GRT files.
Corrected problem where selection indicator symbols are not displayed for the 3D XYZ bar chart.
Corrected problem where on a spline fit curve, the spin control buttons for the tension skip some values.
Corrected problem where Grapher displays grouped bar charts with different bar widths in some cases.
Grouped bar charts now use the the bar chart with the smallest width for the bar width for all charts in the group.
Cannot undo symbol line color and draw fill checkbox changes for function plot. Problem corrected.
Corrected problem when adding a new plot and creating a new axis for it, clicking the Position button in the Choose Axis dialog triggers a crash.
Corrected problem when setting a wind chart to custom bins, when no bins have yet been defined, the chart continues to display as though using automatic binning. Wind chart now correctly displays nothing when using custom bins with no bins defined.
Corrected problem where undo does not work when changing a high-low plot display format between lines and candlestick.
Corrected problem when creating a bar chart with all negative values for the Y values, the Y axis min is not correctly calculated when using a zero or custom base value.
Corrected problem where undo does not work when changing a pie chart label line properties or the chart title's line and fill properties.
Corrected problem where increasing the line width of a graph title can result in part of the line for the title box being outside the graph bounding box.
Corrected problem when adding a new 3D plot to a 3D graph and creating new axes for the new plot, the new axes are not positioned correctly.
Corrected problem where step plots do not change the plot labels drawn when changing either the worksheet rows to use or the label step factor.
Corrected problem where the Legend Properties Title text does not display the title that appears on the legend until the graph is saved and reopened.
Corrected problem where 3D bar charts do not change the plot labels drawn when changing the worksheet rows to use for the labels.
Corrected problem where the axis control for the horizontal drop lines is not enabled when the drop lines are turned on.
Corrected problem where the minimum and maximum tick range values are incorrectly set to 0 in the PI display.
Polar bar charts do not display properly when you use a log radius axis. Polar bar charts will now display and work properly when using a log radius axis.
Grapher freezes when you change a radius axis from log (base 10) to linear and back to log (base 10). Polar bar charts will now display and work properly when using a log radius axis.
For axis properties, if the Line Properties subsection is expanded, the tick mark line properties sections will also always be expanded. Line properties sections under the Tick Marks section have been renamed to Major line and Minor line. This corrects the problem.
The font used by the Property Inspector does not display well under some monitor conditions. A new control, 'PI Font', has been added to the Preferences dialog which allows the user to set the font used by the PI.
Grapher 5 does not automatically update the graph when the worksheet is changed through automation. Graph now immediately reflects worksheet change.
The Property Inspector had not accepted numeric values in the form of AeB (e.g. 1e-2). Values are now allowed to be input in exponential format in the Property Inspector.
Corrected problem where Grapher displayed the 3D axis labels exponential superscripted number as a subscript.
Corrected problem where Grapher displayed worksheet labels at incorrect locations on 3D graph axes. This problem only occurred when long labels were rotated.
Version 5.01 (January 21, 2004)
- Fixed problem where a potentially confusing line of diagnostic information was displayed in all error messages.
- Reduced memory usage of 3D plots.
- A workstation client installation done via a network share resulted in six sample files unnecessarily copied to the workstation.
- Improved "Edit | Invert Selection" performance.
- Removed unnecessary plot window redraws.
- Corrected problem where the property inspector was not updating properly when the symbol size was changed and then the symbol was changed. The size reverted back to the previous size. This has been corrected.
- Updated Readme.txt file to include new changes.
- Updated sample files.
