This image was
created by Jeff Markle of the
Ministry of the Environment, Canada. This ternary diagram is constructed using
both Grapher 4 and Surfer 8. The graph shows how the thermal
conductivity of the solid portion of a sand and gravel aquifer changes with
the composition of the aquifer material. The ternary diagram was created
using the standard ternary plot in Grapher. The labels for the points on
the ternary plot were added with a hidden x-y plot in Grapher. The
colored contour of thermal conductivity was created in Surfer and pasted into
Grapher.
