Avalanche area in the Tyrol (Schnannerbach, Austria)
In this area pressure and speed of powder avalanches are
measured.
The declination of the slope is important for planning
preventive
measures. Multiply slope angles in grads by 0.9 to calculate
slope in degrees.
The map consists of a contour map of the slope
measurements and a bitmap base map overlaid on a surface map of the topography.
