This is a Magnetization, or "B-H," curve of a
common silicon steel alloy used in electric motors. It was created in Grapher
3.0 for the Lamination Steels Research Project which is studying the magnetic
properties of these metals at high frequencies. I used Grapher to make about 80
such graphs; these were exported as wmf files to a layout program and then
distilled into Acrobat for publication in our Lamination Steels Second Edition
CD-ROM. Grapher is a superb graphing program; our project called for extremely
high quality graphs with very fine resolution and Grapher came through with
flying colors. The Lamination Steels Research project is a research program of
