Golden.com has been around for three years now, and has developed quite a following. 

It was started by a local woman, Barb Warden, who wanted to share what she knew about Golden. Barb has lived here for twenty⁺ years, done quite a bit of volunteering, has a child in the Golden school system, owns a local business, has gone through the Leadership Golden program, and admires the spirit of involvement and volunteerism that predominates in this town. She wanted to provide a way for people to learn more about the community--things to do here, and ways to get involved.

Tracy Evanko joined Barb in working on Golden.com in 2007. Tracy has raised two kids in Golden, was one of the founders of the Movies and Music in the Park program, and generally does a lot of behind-the-scenes volunteering to keep Golden great. Tracy wrote the Golden for Kids page and maintains the calendar of events.

The Golden Civic Foundation, Golden Chamber of Commerce and Golden Urban Renewal Authority have all commissioned small pieces of the site and have provided much moral support. For the most part, Barb and Tracy maintain the site as a labor of love and as a service to the Golden community and our visitors. We hope you enjoy it!
